The celebration of Osun State @33 which was organized by the Nigeria Union of Journalist (NUJ) Osun State chapter had dignitaries across works of life in attendance on the August 27, 2024
Architect Goke Omigbodun was among the panelists who reviewed 33 years of Osun State existence with noticable achievements attributed to every government Osun State have had till date
Architect Goke Omigbodun who was the SDP Governorship Aspirant in the 2022 Osun State acknowledged the legacies recorded by the past governors other state but urge the sitting governor Sen. Ademola Adeleke to go a step further to put the name of the name on another pedestal of success story of having a state grid
Architect Goke noted that Osogbo the Osun State capital is the custodian of the national grid but charged the state governor to converge the good heads in the state to create the state grid which would give the state uninterrupted power supply to attract investors to the state
He stated that state generated power would enhance the economy growth of the state and change the status of the state from salary workers State to a commercial hub in no distance time
He mentioned in his speech how steel rolling hasn’t been beneficial to the state as well as other non functional industries in the state that could be resurrected for the development of the State
