Fear as Cultist Clash in Osogbo, killed one

Some group of people suspected to be cultist of rival groups on Saturday clashed in Osogbo, killed one Quadri Agbefawo in Osogbo, Osun State capital.

The ugly incident occured at about 14:00 o’clock in Abaku area of osogbo on Saturday.

According to the information made available to our correspondent Quadri Agbefawo was trailed to the area where he was murdered by the assailants who reportedly hit him with many dangerous weapons and matcheted his head leaving him in the pool of blood before they fled.

An eye witness, a roadside grocery seller, who asked to be identified as Titilayo, during an interview said, “We all fled as some boys carrying sticks, matchetes and charms attacked Agbefawo. He attempted to flee, but he was overpowered by those people who attacked him and it was obvious they must have studied his movement well before the attack.

“He was severely injured on his head. He bled to death on the spot. No one could go near him. I watched happenings from hiding near the scene,” she said.

A security agent, who pleaded anonymity, disclosed that the deceased was on the watch-list of the anti-cultism unit of Osun State Police Command of the Nigeria Police Force for killing two people.

The spokesperson of Osun State Police command, Yemisi Opalola, confirmed the incident on Sunday in a text message, she wrote, “It is true. It happened on Saturday.
