Former Real Madrid and Barcelona Captain, Iker Casillas and Carles Puyol have on Sunday took to twitter to confess they are gay.
Both Iker Casillas and Carles Puyol made separate announcement via their verified twitter handles in their native language (Spanish) but used Google translator to translate it to English.
Iker Casillas and Carles Puyol were both Spanish players but played a good rivalry roles in helping their respective clubs win almost all available accolades both in Spain and Europe.
Former Real Madrid captain tweeted “I hope you respect me: I’m gay” ten minutes later former Barcelona captain replied Casillas tweet “It’s time to tell our story, Iker”
The post made by these duo who enjoyed a successful career both at their respective clubs and national level have generated so many reactions across world.
It could be remembered that Iker Casillas led the Spain team including Carles Puyol to glory in the 2010 world cup by winning the prestigious football tournament hosted by South Africa while both also won champions league and other domestic trophies.
It is yet to be confirmed whether the duo are in to relationship as this remains hidden but known to the duo football legends.
