Osun Community In Ghana Receives Gov Adeleke’s Delegation Led By Muniru Raji

The Special Adviser to Governor Ademola Adeleke on Political Affairs, Alhaji Muniru Raji has taken the transformation agenda of Governor Ademola Adeleke across Osun State to the Osun Indigenes living in Ghana.

Representing the Governor of Osun State in Ghana, Alhaji Muniru Raji, the Special Adviser to Governor Ademola Adeleke on Political Affairs was led by the President of Osun Indigene in the Republic of Ghana on a courtesy visit to the Acting Nigeria High Commissioner to Ghana, His Excellency, Ambassador Dayo Adeoye.

Welcoming the Honorable Special Adviser and his team to the Nigerian High Commission, Ambassador appreciated His Excellency, Governor Ademola Adeleke for identifying with the Osun State Indigene residing in Ghana, the Acting Nigeria High Commissioner lauded the Osun Indigene for being exemplary, peaceful and law abiding. In his words; “we don’t have criminal records of any Osun Indigene in Ghana and their representative  has always being cooperative and helpful whenever the larger Nigerian community is in need”.

Earlier, the Osun Indigenes living in Ghana had inaugurated the new Executive Committee to pilot the affairs of the community.

The inauguration ceremony which was held on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at the SID Apartment Hall, Dworwulu main road, Accra, marked a significant milestone for all Osun indigenes living in the Republic of Ghana.

The newly inaugurated Executive Committee was dedicated to strengthening cordial relationships, peaceful coexistence with the host country, and to also build bridges, foster unity amongst its members while prioritizing membership’s welfare.

In his welcome address, President of the Osun State Indigenes in the Republic of Ghana, Hon. Ayokanmi Osuntayo Ogunremi reaffirmed his commitment to foster unity amongst members and the hosting community.

In their separate remarks, Amb. Oloye Oyeyemi Fatuyi, and Hon. Muniru Raji Adebayo, Special Adviser on political matters to Gov. Ademola Adeleke, Osun State Governor, the community was charged to provide a platform for social, cultural, and economic exchange, noting that the transformation agenda of governor Ademola Adeleke in the last two years in Osun has benefited the people of Osun across board.

“As the Osun State Indigene in Ghana continues to grow and thrive, the association remains dedicated to promoting the values of unity, cooperation, and mutual respect.

“The inauguration ceremony marked a significant step forward for the community, and its members are excited to share their vision with others and welcome participation in shaping their future endeavors.

“The association’s leadership, headed by Hon. Ayokanmi Osuntayo Ogunremi, is committed to working tirelessly to promote the interests of Osun State indigenes in Ghana. With a focus on community development, social welfare, and cultural exchange, we’re poised to make a positive impact on the lives of our members and the wider Ghanaian community”, Ogunremi concluded.

The epoch inauguration ceremony was attended by distinguished guests, including the representative of  Ambassador Dayo Adeoye, Acting Nigeria High Commissioner to Ghana.
