Osun State Independent Electoral Committee Chairman, Barr. Hasim Abioye has promised to conduct credible Election in the forthcoming Local Government Election in the state
Barr. Hasim disclosed this while featuring on the Osun Online Publishers Association monthly parley that OSSIEC has contacted all the stakeholders in the state for an inclusive election
OSSIEC Chairman inaugurated verification committee on 2nd of September for a sole aim of verifying the the documents submitted by the nominated aspirants by their respective political parties
Barr. Hashim also noted that the commission is putting the measure in place for topnotch security of lives, properties and the votes before during and after the election
He then charged the opposition parties to always participate in the state elections and never let go of their strongholds in order to claim their stakes in grassroot politics and elections
The OSSIEC Chairman, Barr. Hashim Abioye however fault the plan to constitute National Independent Electoral Commission for Local Government Elections, he noted that the bill is an aberration that can not see the light of the day, he then urge them to make provision for it in the constitution before taking it to the lawmakers for ratification
