The wife of late Nigerian singer Mohbad, Omowunmi Aloba, has finally agreed to undergo a DNA test to determine the paternity of her son Liam.
The wife decided to conduct the test as the results of pressure from growing speculations on social media that Liam may not be biologically related to Mohbad.
ENTRUST REPORTERS had earlier reported that Mohbad’s father, Joseph Aloba, demanded a DNA test, calling it “non-negotiable.”
Nigerian actress Iyabo Ojo, on Tuesday, shared a screenshot of a message from Omowunmi on Instagram, in which she confirmed her agreement to the DNA test.
Ojo wrote in the caption, “To everyone who wants to hear from Mohbad’s wife, this is her response”.
In the message shared, Omowunmi stated that she has chosen to remain silent until the upcoming coroner’s inquest on November 7th out of respect for her late husband and her desire to seek justice for his death.
She wrote “I’ve decided not to speak on anything until 7th of November which is the coroner inquest because i do not want any side distraction, all I want is Justice for my husband which I believe the Nigerian government are working on,” Omowunmi wrote. “After everything’ll either grant an interview or tell my own story before the whole world, and also DNA is definitely a most!!!”
It could be recalled that Mohbad died on September 12, 2023, under controversial circumstances.
