Occupants of Iba community of Ifelodun local government area of Osun State are currently living in fear following the killing of a yet-to-be-identified middle-aged man by unknown assailants.
The Okada rider whose life was cut short, has forced residents of Obaagun/Iba communities to go berserk in protest of the killing they described as inhuman on Wednesday evening.
it was gathered by ENTRUST REPORTERS that, the late motorcyclist was murdered in his cold blood around 5.00 pm in the evening by his killers who reportedly ran away after they carried out the callous and wicked act.
Meanwhile, the case is now being investigated by the state security operatives who are said to presently now be on the trail of the evil perpetrators.
The Public Relations Officer, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC Osun command spokesperson, Kehinde Adeleke who confirmed the incident said the command is after the killers and assured that the long arm of law would soon catch them.
According to her statement, the NSCDC would not relent in its efforts to ensure that, those behind perpetrating the act are brought to book in no distant time.
“The motive behind the act is also yet to be ascertained, but operatives are still investigating the incident with a view to apprehending the perpetrators of the act”.
She explained that the deceased rode on a motorcycle before his life was terminated by his assailants and the case is vigorously being investigated to nab the suspects and make them face music.
