Osun State Governor, Adegboyega Isiaka Oyetola has declared Friday 14 of October public holiday in state as paper of the preparation for local government elections schedule to hold on Saturday.
The declaration was made by the Commissioner for Information and Civic Orientation, Funke Egbemode, the state government said the holiday was to allow those who will be travelling to their respective local government areas on the account of the election.
It is contained in the statement that movement will be restricted between 7am -3pm on Saturday.
Egbemode stated that a work free holiday is allow the electorate to travel to theirs is various local government to exercise their franchise in the state local government elections.
People of the state are hereby advised to be law-abiding before, during and after the election and shun all act of violence, Parents and Guardians are advised to make sure their children are not uses by politician as an element of destruction.
